Hood was commissioned to re-design the Nintendo World Store, located in New York’s Rockefeller Plaza. The Hood solution included various upgrades, including wide-open gaming decks that allow families and friends to play new releases together, as well as stations staged in the front store windows to generate buzz by pedestrians passing by. Mezzanine level display cases bring the Nintendo brand story to life, sharing a chronological history of the company and the excitement Nintendo games have created over the years. The re-opening coincided with the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Brothers, and was hosted by Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime and game designer Shigeru Miyamoto.
