The objective of our assignment was to create a pregame destination for fans prior to each 49ers home game in their new location in Santa Clara, also known as Levi’s® Stadium.  The area is located just inside the ticket screening perimeter west of the stadium and is a 60,000 sq. ft. interactive zone that is a temporary installation for 49ers games only.  The largest challenge is that everything is set up the day of a 49ers home game and the 49ers will have to close up and remove all containers from the lot after each game.  Hood created an ingenious way of moving these containers in and out in a timely manner to provide a temporary solution with a permanent feel.
Partnered with GMR, Hood completed the build out of twenty-one (21) shipping containers to allow for mobility before and after games.  Of these containers, 6 have been converted into Budweiser Bars, with all Stainless Steel counters, built in electric and large monitors to preview games from around the NFL.  Two containers have been turned into control rooms equipped with satellite dishes, and switching consoles to change content on (30) different monitors.  The remaining thirteen (13) containers have been leased to sponsors (Sony, Yahoo, Esurance, Comcast, SunPower, and Verizon to name a few) who have each designed their own environment within the container, to attract new potential customers.
